The Venue Bar & Restaurant is located on the top road in Strandhill and two minutes walk from Strandhill Lodge and Suites, it has a cosy atmosphere with an excellent restaurant overlooking Strandhill Bay.

Famous for its, crab claws, and seafood chowder served with that wonderful soft-on-the-inside-crunchy-on-the-outside delectable French bread, The Venue Pub and Restaurant Strandhill serves only the freshest catch and homemade breads.
But for those not inclined toward seafood, other treats on the menu include char-grilled steaks, and vegetarian options, along with lighter fare for lunch, of soup, salads (delicious, crisp, and fresh), and open sandwiches, on brown or white bread.

The Strand Bar (est 1913) nestled between mythic Knocknarea and the famous surf beach of Strandhill, has for many generations been the favoured social spot for locals and tourists alike.

The name Trá Bán is Irish for “White Strand”, the beautiful unspoiled beach alongside the restaurant. Trá Bán was the original name for what is now known as the sea front. Our menu features dishes which are made with the finest local fresh produce, from both land and sea. On a summers evening it’s a joy to watch the sun set over the Atlantic ocean while strolling along the seafront.
